On February 18 my sister Katie had her little guy. She was due about a week before me. So he was about 12 weeks early. He only weighed 2 lbs 13 oz. We are so grateful that he and my sister made it through ok. Britain is a little miracle. He never needed a breathing tube and all the nurses were amazed at how well he was doing for being so early. He is continuing to grow and develop well. He now weighs 3 lbs 6 oz. We are so grateful. Britain we love you and can't wait to meet you!

Gallstones

Well its been awhile since my last post. I am 27 weeks now and still really sick. We found out i have gall stones. So that could be the reason i am still sick, which would be great. Then hopefully next pregnancy i won't be as sick. I will be having surgery on Tuesday, Feb. 23rd to get my gall bladder out. We decided its best to do it now, because my attacks are becoming more frequent and as the baby gets bigger it will only make things more complicated if they had to do an emergency surgery. I am a bit nervous, but also very excited to be out of pain and to start feeling better.
We did find out we are having a GIRL! We are really excited for her arrival. We have her crib and bedding up. Its super cute. We will hopefully get her room painted this weekend so i won't have to worry about it after the surgery. I will post some pics when it is finished.

We are so excited about our new addition coming May 18,2010. I am way slow at posting this, cause i just haven't been in the blogging mood. Also i have been pretty sick and haven't done much of anything. I am about 16 weeks along now, and i am still sick! Does it really ever go away?! I sure hope so cause I'm not sure i can take much more of it! Jake has been so good to me through all of this. He has done the cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, and waited on me hand and foot. I'm so lucky and so grateful to have him! We are so thankful for this sweet little baby and know that it is such a huge blessing!

Well last Thursday i celebrated my 23rd birthday. Man! That sounds so old! I had a really good day.

I woke up to this...yummy! My sweet husband had doughnuts, a rose, and a sweet note for me.

Then at work my cute niece Amoree came walking in holding balloons. It was so cute i almost cried. My sweet sister came and brought me balloons, and cupcakes to share with my work ladies. She is always so thoughtful! My work ladies also had cupcakes, and sang to me. They also gave me a gift card to Wal Mart.

After work my mom took me to lunch, and then shopping.

Then later that night we went bowling at "Fat Cats" with my family. It was lots of fun! I was going to do i-fly (since Jake wouldn't let me do real skydiving), but they had a kid's leauge that night. So it was all full. I will just have to another time.

A few weekends ago we went to Bear Lake again. We wanted to go one last time before summer was over. We went with Jake's sister Holly, and his aunt and uncle, and cousin were up at the lot too. We had lots of fun! The weather was perfect. It started storming the day we left so it was perfect timing. We enjoyed some yummy bear lake pizza, fire pies, and smores. I love camping food. It's the best!

Bee's Game

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Bee's game with Jake's family. It was so cold! I was dressed in summer clothes and needed to be dressed in winter clothes! They lost 8-0. It was pretty pathetic, but we still had lots of fun.

For our anniversary this year we spent two nights in Park City. We had a lot of fun. It was so nice to get away and spend time with Jake. He has been working 50 plus hours a week so i feel like i never see him. There was a bit of drama as we tried to check in at the West Gate Resort though. It's a really long story so i will tell the short version. West Gate is a timeshare and we got two free nights if we went and listened to their spiel. So i reserved a time to go listen to it and then reserved our two nights. No problems. We went up there on Thursday with me parents to do the tour. Then we went back Friday and tried to check in. They said everything was full. I said we have reservations. They said with the tours its based on availability. Well nobody mentioned that to me on the phone. We were so pissed! Jake told them we weren't leaving until we got out room. Well there were a bunch of other people who drove 6 to 7 hours to get there that they were trying to turn away too. So a big group of us were talking to the manager and finally about 2 hours later they gave us a room for one of their "sister" lodges. It was ridiculous! So nobody buy from West Gate! They are a bunch of crap!
We went swimming, shopping, and down the alpine slide. Jake had never been before so we had to do that. Here are some pics.

The Best Two Years!

Well Jake and I have been married for 2 years on Sunday, August 2. I can't believe how fast time flies. It seriously seems like yesterday that we were getting married. Our wedding day was so perfect! Ok there were a few things that were not so perfect, but we don't need to go into that. Our reception was beautiful! Everything turned out so amazing. Better than i thought. I really enjoyed it more than i ever thought i would. I just want to thank my sweet husband for everything he does for me. It truly has been the best two years. I couldn't imagine my life with anyone else. He is perfect for me! He make me laugh everyday. He is such a hard worker...i know i've said it before, but its true. I don't know anyone who works harder than he does. He is always willing to help anyone. I love him so much and am so excited to spend eternity with my bestfriend!
We are going to park city for the weekend. I am so excited. I will post some pics when we get back, but for now here are some of our special day.

Anyway....I have been feeling really down lately so my sweet husband surprised me by taking the day off work yesterday. He had the day planned with fun activities. We started by cuddling in bed all morning. The best thing ever!(Sorry if that's TMI) Then we went and got donuts and chocolate milk...yummy!
Then we went and saw "My Sister's Keeper"It was really good! Not really what i expected, but really good.
Then we got Chinese food for lunch.
We also got my ring cleaned, buffed, polished. It looks amazing! It is so sparkly and beautiful. We did a little shopping and then spent the rest of the day relaxing at home. It was the perfect day, and something i really needed! I just want to thank my sweet husband. I don't know what i would do without him! He is such a hard worker and is such a good provider for me. I love you so much babe! Thanks for everything you do for me!

Last Wednesday we went to the midnight showing of Transformers. It was awesome! My sis-in-law Holly came, and my BF Lara and her fiance. It was lots of fun. I even made it to bed by 4:00am. Not too bad.

Then on Friday we went and saw "The Proposal". If you haven't seen it, you need to. It was so cute, so funny, and so good! I actually laughed out loud in the movie. I never, ever do that. It is pretty predictable, but still very good. It is worth seeing in theaters. I haven't seen a good chick flick in a long time. It is defiantly a buyer. Pretty clean too.

Water Line & Kaleb's Blessing

So in December(December 23 to be exact)we woke up hearing water running. Jake looked around and finally discovered that our main water line to our house broke! Our crawl space was full of water. So Jake and his dad dug out in the yard about 5 feet until they found the broken pipe. They put on a temporary piece. Since it was December, and the ground was frozen and covered in snow, that is about all they could do.
So a couple Saturdays ago we finally fixed the whole line. We checked around for pricing, and it would cost about $2,000- $3,000 to have someone do it. So Jake decided he would do it himself. He such a handy man. He impresses me everyday! We rented a backhoe, and had the help of our families. It was quite the project, but it went quite well. Thank you so much to our families. We couldn't have done it without you! We are so blessed to have such good families!

We went to the Taylor Swift concert on Tuesday night. It was freaking awesome. She is such a good entertainer, and truly a genuine, nice person. We were up pretty high, but it was still really good. We had so much fun!

This is how high we were up, but they had big screens you could look at.

She performed one of her songs up in the stands. Then she made her way down the steps and hugged everyone along the way.

Then she performed at the other end of the arena for a few songs.

My cute niece Maliya turned two last Saturday. We celebrated with a princess party on Friday night. Maliya was so cute opening her presents. Every time she would open one she would say "oooh cute"! She has such a fun personality and is getting so big! We love you Maliya bug!

What a JERK!

Can i just say how pissed i am! I cannot believe that Jason would pull something so low. I have lost all respect for that man! How can you honestly do that to someone? How could he fall out of love so fast? He didn't even give it a chance. I just feel so bad for Melissa. She such a cute, sweet girl!

I can't believe Molly took him back. I wish she would have just turned him down, and he would be left alone...that's what he deserves!

It is on for another hour tonight. It will be interesting to see what it is about. I'm not sure i even want to watch it, cause i am so mad! I think I'm done with that show entirely! I refuse to watch it next season(maybe, depending on who is the bachelorette)

My Valentine!

Valentine's Day was really good this year. I loved it being on Saturday, cause then we got to spend the whole day together. We slept in tell about 11:00. Then we just bummed around the house for a while. We finally got ready and went to Ihop around 3:00. Then we did a little shopping. We came home and watched the all star dunk contest. Then Jake made me dinner. He set the table with candles and the roses he gave me. We had pasta, bread sticks, and sparkling cider. It was so nice!

He also gave me a card and some candy, and he paid fro me to get my nails done. That is what i really wanted. They turned out so cute! They have little pink hearts all over in the tips. You can't really tell in the pic though. I gave him a movie, a card , and some candy.

After dinner we watched Nights in Rodanthe. It was really good, but sad! I of course bawled like a baby! After the movie we decided to go to bed since it was like 1:00. I went into the bedroom and there were candles and rose petals all over with some soft music playing. It was the perfect day!

Jake is so sweet and i want him to know how much i love him. He is such a hard worker, and takes such good care of me. I love you so much babe, and could not ask for a better husband!

Long Time, No Post

Holy cow! It has been forever since I have updated. We are alive. Not a whole ton has been going on anyway, and i just have not been in a blogging mood. I also was really, really sick with a kidney infection. It was utter HELL! I don't recommend anyone getting one.

Last week my sweet nephew, Taggart Turned 1. I can't believe how time flies. They had a really awesome circus party. It was alot of fun. My sister-in-law put tons of work into it. She is so creative!

Taggart is such a sweet little boy. He is such a good kid, and is always content. He has the cutest smile ever. It will brighten a room and,make any ones day. I love you buddy and want to wish you a happy b-day!

Thursday night we went to the Jazz game. It was so much fun! We were on the 8th row right behind the Jazz bench. This is what i gave Jake for Christmas. He was kind enough to take me along. I sure did enjoy my view of Kyle Korver and D-Will, and it was awesome to see D-Will take on Chris Paul so close. Unfortunately D-Will was not feeling well so he didn't play a whole lot. They still won 116-90. Millsap had a great game again with another double-double...who needs Boozer, right? Well we had a lot of fun and I'm not sure we can go to another game in the upper bowl after being so close:) Oh ya...and after the game, as we were walking back to the car we saw AK driving off in his sweet Bentley. It was an awesome night!

This year for new years we had a party with our friends at our house. It was fun! We ate a lot of good food, played the wii, and rock band, and drank some bubbly til about 5:00 a.m. We didn't get to bed til about 5:30. Crazy...i know, but we had a lot of fun. Thanks everyone for coming!

Merry Christmas

I know I'm a bit late at posting this, but its been a busy holiday! It was our second Christmas together, and it was great! We spent Christmas eve with my family. Every year we go to my g&g Taggarts. It is something i look forward to every year. We have ham and turkey with all the fixings. We do white elephants, bingo, the little grand kids act out the nativity story, and my grandma always has a new fun game she made up. It is so fun. I don't have any pictures of Christmas Eve though. Christmas day, we woke up and open our presents from each other. Jake did really good this year. I got a pink Chanel purse, nice boots for church, 2 sweaters, a hurricane and candle, and a vase...i think that is everything. I gave Jake Jazz tickets. They are on the 8Th row, right behind the Jazz bench. He was pretty excited. We then went to his parents and exchanged presents. We then went to my parents and had a yummy brunch. Then exchanged gifts. After that we went and visited Jake's grandparents, then played games at his parents. Then we went back to my grandparents and ended the night there. It was a great day! I love the holidays and love spending time with family. Thank you everyone. We are so blessed with such great families. We love you all!

We're Back!

Well we got back from our cruise late on the 21st. It was a lot of fun! We left last Sunday the 14th really early. We stayed in a really posh hotel that night in Miami right on the bay. It was really pretty! They had a big outdoor shopping mall right by our hotel. The had a live band playing and lots of food and entertainment. We ate dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp from Forest Gump. It was really cool! The next day (the 15th- Jake's birthday) we headed to our port. We got on the ship around 2 and we left at 5. The cruise wasn't what i expected. We had a ton of fun at the islands and stuff, but the actual ship wasn't as exciting as i thought it would be. There just wasn't a whole lot to do, unless you drink and gamble. That's all people did. It was a little bit like Vegas, but not as bad. If we go again we will defiantly go with people. The food wasn't that great either. The first island we went to was Grand Bahama Island. It was gorgeous! We spent most of the day at the beach, and then did a bit of shopping. The people there are constantly trying to sell you stuff. The just thrive off the tourism and that is how they make there money. The next day we went to Nassau island. There we spent most of the day at the Atlantis resort. This place was huge and so nice. There we swam with the dolphins. It was so fun and exciting! They are such and amazing animal. I will defiantly do that again! The next day was Great Stirrup Cay. This is Norwegian Cruise Line's private island. There we went snorkeling and planned on going para sailing, but it was cancelled. The boat had leak in it and was sinking. I was so disappointed. We had been looking forward to the the entire trip. So instead we rented a giant tube and floated all day. It was so nice and beautiful. The beaches there are gorgeous. The water is so blue and the sand is so white. We then headed back to Miami and got there about 8 a.m on the 19th. Then we stayed in a Marriott right on the beach in Miami. It was beautiful. We had a lot of fun. We just relaxed by the pool and ocean, and walked the board walk. We had great time, and so grateful we were able to do something like this! Here is a slide show of our fun time. Layton Hay Ride

Last Friday we went on a hay ride to look at the Layton city lights. My parents, and Katie, Eric and Amoree came along. It was pretty fun. The ride was really short and not sure it was worth the $2, but it was fun to spend time with family. After we went to Katie and Eric's for some hot chocolate and watched "The Christmas Vacation". Festival of Trees

Last night we went to the Festival of Trees with Katie, Eric, Amoree, Megan, and Cheryl. It was a lot of fun. There were probably a bazillion people there though. It was so crowded you could hardly move. We enjoyed some delicious scones and cinnamon rolls...yummy! Here are some pictures.

Christmas Tree Jubilee

On Friday night we went to the Christmas Tree Jubilee in Ogden with Jonathan, Melissa, Taggart, and my mom and dad. It was pretty fun. There wasn't a whole lot to see, but it was free so i can't complain. After we went to Texas Road House...Yummy!

Oh Christmas Tree

We put up our tree, decorations, and turned on our Christmas lights on Friday. I just love this time of year! I wish it would snow now to help it feel more like Christmas. Here are a few pictures of our tree. I will have to take a picture of our house with the lights on too and post that later.

Thanksgiving was good this year. We had lunch with Jake's family on the Foxley side. The food was great. We played bingo with white elephant gifts. It was a lot of fun. Later we went to my gma and gpa Bush's house. We enjoyed some pie and a few game of nertz there. Then the Duncan family came to see our new kitchen. Then we played rock band. It was a lot of fun. Everyone tried it. Even my 85 year old grandpa took a whack at the bass. It was so funny! He actually did really good... i was impressed!

It's Finally Done!

For the past two and half months we have been remodeling our kitchen. When i say remodeling, i mean completely tearing out everything. We were down to the studs. We put new sheet rock on all the walls and the ceiling. We knocked out a wall to make the kitchen bigger and more open. We completely moved everything around. The sink, fridge, oven, and dishwasher are all in a new spot. We had ugly paneling on the walls and tore it all off. The back wall was just cinder block so we built a wall there and added new sheet rock. We got new/old cabinets, meaning that they have been used but are new to us. My uncle Dean actually built them. They have been in there house for like twenty some odd years. They are redoing there kitchen and gave us their old cabinets. We appreciate it sooo much! They are so beautiful and are in such great shape. They look brand new. We also painted and added a back splash. We put in black granite tile for the counter tops, and new tile on the floor. We also put in canned lights. All our appliances are nice and in great shape except our fridge. So i found a used one off ksl for a really good deal. It has been a ton of work and very stressful, but also a lot of fun. Jake did all the work himself. I helped as much as i could. Our friend Cory helped us knock out the wall, and Eric our brother-in-law helped with the sheet rock. We greatly appreciate it! Jake is such a hard worker. He is working and going to school full time. While he wasn't doing that he was working in the kitchen. We had many, many late nights working in there just trying to get it done. Jake impressed me soooo much! He has never done any of this before. He is an electrician so he is used to the construction stuff, but he has never built or anything. We do watch a lot of remodeling shows so that is where he learned a lot of it. He is just a good handy man. He is so amazing! I am so grateful for all his hard work and all he does for me. He is the best husband anyone could ask for. I love you babe! Anyway we still have a lot of detail work to do, but its all functional now and my living room is clean and junk free. So we are happy about that. We can finally live. Here is a slide show of our huge project.

Halloween

Halloween was pretty fun this year. We actually dressed up which i thought was a lot of fun. Jake on the other hand didn't love it, but he was a good sport. Many people have told Jake that he looks like a white version of Deron Williams. We love the Jazz and love Deron Williams so we thought it would be funny if Jake was him for Halloween. It was pretty easy. He already had the jersey so we just had to color his hair and beard and get him some bling. I was a Jazz dancer. We went to my mom and dad's for Navajo tacos. It was really good. Thanks mom! Then we visited Jake's fam and then went to my grandparents. It was a fun night!

Pumpkins and Cookies

Last Tuesday we had my family over to carve pumpkins and decorate cookies. Kami, Bryson, Maliya, and my dad didn't make it. We missed you guys. Jake, Eric and, I are the only ones that carved pumpkins. I think we did a pretty awesome job! Here are some pictures.

CHS Football

This fall we have spent our Friday nights at the Clearfield High football games. My little brother Daniel plays on the team. We have had so much fun going and cheering him on. There is nothing like high school football. It's so much fun and we will defiantly miss going. Now I don't know what we will do on Friday nights. Oh well. I just want to say that we are so proud of you Daniel and we love you very much. Thanks for being a great little bro. P.S. he will be so mad and embarrassed if he saw this, but that's OK. Pumpkin Walk

Thursday night we went to Syracuse cities pumpkin walk. Katie, Eric, Amoree, Jonathan, Melissa, Taggart, and my mom joined us. When we got there the line was forever long. They said it would be forty-five minutes to an hour wait. We did not think it was a good idea to wait than long in the cold with Taggart and Amoree. So we kind of cheated and walked around the outside. We could see everything great. It was a lot of fun!

My mom recently started a tradition that once month we go to a different persons house for lunch and an activity. Its been a lot of fun. Katie did a great job this month. It was very festive. She made stew in a pumpkin and we ate out of pumpkin bread bowls. Then we made carmel apples for our activity. Here are some pics.

Bahamas Here We Come!

Last night we booked our cruise to the Bahamas. I am so excited! Our cruise is December 15th(Jake's birthday)to the 19th, but we are hoping to leave the 12th and spend some time in Florida. Norwegian Cruise Lines has some really good deals going on right now. So if anyone is looking to go on a cruise, go to ncl.com. We have free flights from T-mobile so that is the main reason we are going, and that we found a really good deal. We also want to go before we have kids, because we probably won't get the chance for along time. We have to wait two weeks to see if we can get the flights we need. So everyone keep your fingers crossed.

I was tagged by Melissa. I am supposed to list 7 weird or random facts about myself, so here they are.

1. I am a bit obsessive compulsive. When I go to bed at night, all of the covers have to be straight and even. I can't have more hanging down on one side then the other, and I can't have too much at the top or I feel like I am drowning in covers. If there is a picture on the blanket, it has to be facing the right way or I can't sleep. And...my clothes have to be straight hanging in the closet. My closet doesn't have a door, and so when I lay in bed I can see right into my closet. If I see a shirt sticking out or is not hanging straight I have to get up and fix it or I am thinking about all night and can't sleep. This drives Jake crazy by the way.

2.I have a certain way of eating. I only eat one thing at a time. For example, if I have meat, a veggie, and a roll I would start with the meat and I wouldn't move on to the next thing until my meat is completely gone. Then next I would eat my veggies and do the same until all of my food was gone. Oh yeah, and none of my food can touch either.

3. I talk to myself all the time. When I am alone and thinking to myself I just start having a conversation. I will answer my own questions like I am two different people, or I will think something and then think to myself, "I know"! I totally agree with you. I know I'm a bit of a freak! Ha ha:)

4. I push snooze on my alarm like five times... and it goes off every five minutes! So every five minutes its like that initial wakening that makes you so mad that you want to throw your alarm across the room. I actually set my alarm for earlier then I have to wake up so I can push snooze. Doesn't it make sense to set it for the right time and get that nice extra half hour of peaceful sleeping? I think so, but for some reason I just cannot wake up the first time my alarm goes off. I don't know why?

5. I guess you could say I'm a bit needy as well as Melissa. Mostly I just hate being alone! I can't stand to go anywhere alone. If I have to run to the store really fast for one thing, I wait for Jake to get home to come with me, or make my sister come. If I have to go to the doctor for some quick blood tests, I make Jake take off work and come. I just feel like such a loser if I'm alone. Plus I just love my husbands company!

6. I'm a bit obsessed with reality TV. I'm not sure what it is about it, but I watch almost every one. The Hills, Making the Band, The Amazing Race, Kimora, Denise Richards, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Jon and Kate Plus 8, The Bachelor/Bacholerette, Real World, Real World Challenges, Ace of Cakes, Flip That House and any home remodeling shows. The list goes on and on. Our DVR is full with these shows. We really don't watch many sitcoms. Weird, I know!

7. I love chap stick and lotion. I put it on at least every couple of hours. I think they are the best invention ever! I really think I would die without them. OK, I might be being a little dramatic, but you know what I mean.

So there you go. Now everyone knows how weird I really am. I don't have seven people to tag. So I will tag Katie, Alisha, and Necia.

Happy Birthday to Me!

On September 3rd I became another year older. I am now 22! That sounds so old! Its crazy how fast the years fly by. Well my day started out pretty normal work, laundry, etc. After work my sister Katie and I went and got a fabulous pedicure. My mom came and watched. She has never had one before. Crazy... I know! One day I'll get her to do it. Then Later that night my family and Lara went to dinner at Chili's. Its was pretty tasty! Then we went to my parents house for delicious ice cream cake...yummy! I pretty much got money from everyone. My mom also gave me a Tu-Tu. Get it! Cause I turned 2-2. Ha ha. Jake gave me a beautiful new phone. It's the hot pink LG shine. I love it! My in-laws gave me a precious moments Ariel statue. Its way cute! My bestfriend Lara bought me Thriller tickets. I'm way excited to see it. Oh and my grandpa Taggart made me a sign that says "Karaline". It's awesome. That pretty much sums up my b-day. It was a good day!

State Fair

So I am really bad at this blogging thing, but I've been giving it a pretty good try. Mostly I'm bad at keeping it updated. Well a couple weeks ago we went to The Utah State Fair. We as in Jake and I, Katie, Eric, and Amoree, and my parents. It was Pretty fun. Jake and I enjoyed a delicious fried pb&j, and fried oreos. It was quite the experience! Defiantly worth trying although it was a bit spendy! They also needed to use double stuff oreos! It would be way better! We didn't ride any rides mostly walked around. I bought some beautiful trillion earrings that match my wedding ring. I love them! Jake bought a Michael Jordan jersey, and we also got a really good deal on a 2 night stay at a resort in Park City. At least we hope it turns out to be a great deal. Well here are some pics of our fun night.

Trip to Star Valley

My poor grandma fell off the horse and hit her head on a rock. We took her to the hospital, and she recieved stitches in her head and shattered her wrist. She has to have surgery on her wrist. She kept on smiling the entire time. What a trooper!
